Hi all!
I am trying to figure out a source to use for shadow puppetry, in which you backlight a screen, and use cutouts to create images. It's for use with my mobile trailer theater, the Virginia Theatre Machine, which I built from the ground up. You can find a link to it here. We've been providing shows to the Williamsburg VA area for about five years now.
The best sources for shadow puppetry are as small as possible to create the crispest shadow edges, so LEDs are naturally an excellent candidate. Reflectors are not desirable, because they confuse the edge of the shadow. Additionally, I am in a challenging situation because I have competition with other illumination and at times, actual daylight, though my screen will be shaded from direct sun.
Can anyone help me by directing me to the brightest available single LED source commonly available? I would be super grateful for any help you can offer. I'm handy but electronics are out of my skill set.
