Hello All! I've recently stumbled into the world of modern LED flashlights and I think I'm hooked! I'm looking for the perfect light to take backpacking. So far, the best thing I've found is the Fenix E11. I purchased this light recently, and I find the "low" (35 lumen) setting to be just about right. I like the fact that it's so lightweight and that it will run on this setting for 8 hours. My plan is to use it as a headlamp by clipping it to the brim of my hat. I have a mag lite clip on order that I'm hoping will fit the E11.
I'm happy with the E11, but I would like to know what other options are out there. My main requirements are:
- lightweight (1.7 oz or less including the battery)
- a useable medium or low setting of around 35 lumens with several hours of runtime
I'd like to find something with a clip included and maybe 3 or more modes (the addition of a true "low" 3 lumen setting would be nice for example).

____I would consider getting a light that is pieced together (for example a “host” or flashlight body from one manufacturer, and a “drop-in” emitter from another source). Under the right circumstances, this path can provide more options to the consumer to meet specific needs, and can often be easily upgradeable as technology improves.
7) What battery type do you want to use?
____I intend to use lithium primary batteries (CR123, CR2, Energizer Advanced/Ultimate Lithium AA/AAA)
8) How much genuine out the front (OTF) light do you want/need? Sometimes you can have too much light (trying to read up close up with a 100 lumen light is impossible).
____I want to navigate a dark room or read a map (0-10 lumens).
____I want to walk around an unlit rural area (50-150 lumens).
9) Throw vs. Flood: At what distance will you be most likely to use this light? Select all that apply.
