lightweight \"tactical\" lights?

These tactical lights would be great for outdoor sports, but they are so heavy. It is such a shame that these lights with incredible throw and lightweight 123 battereis weigh 5 times whaty they need to.

I know the primary market is the gun crowd, who value heft as much as anything, but I would like to find a light weight 123 xenon light with lots of awesome throw. Plastic would be ideal.

If they are cheap, so much the better. I would be using it intermitantly for route finding.

How about the Surefire G2 series? Nitrolon (plastic) body, light weight, fairly inexpensive.

Lately the Brinkmann Maxfire LX is one of the most popular lights to be mounted on a weapon. Light, pretty durable, good beam, decent switch.

KL4 w/E1E & Mce2s switch w/R123 li-ion mated with good bin 5watt gives 100+ lumens in a small tuff package.

PR-T X4T gives 100+ lumens w/VG 123 & R123.

Uh, what about the Underwater Kinetics 2L ?
Isn't it designed for "sport" use?

Plastic, lightweight, uses 123 cells.
