Lithium AA or AAA

Wow, this is addicting...anyway, I noticed many of you asking about cheap lithium AA or AAA. I imagine they burn a lot brighter but can they be used in any application where standard AA or AAA is used? thanks in advance...

AFAIK there is no lithium AAA only AA. And the AA cells turn out 1.5V under load, most alky's will drop to 1.2-1.3 under load so you will have to worry about blowing bulbs depending on the light. That said if you are using a light that is regulated or then you should be fine.

the main difference between the lith aa's and the regular is the current. with regular aa's, you will get much lower current flow than with lithiums, which is why you should be careful in led lights, unless they are driven by a circuit, a resistor, or can take the overdriving. also, lithiums have a longer shelf life and are more resistant to the cold.

as far as everyone knows...there is no lithium aaa, some people suspect the mad scientists at energizer of secretky developing one in their underground dungeons, but there is nothing definitive.
