In Ray Mears' book "Bushcraft" he clearly has Energizer Lithium AAA batteries sat next to his Petzl Tikka. Why are these not readily available to us?

Energizer denies all knowledge of Lithium AAA batteries. Other people have pointed out that photo.
There was an Energizer booth at the 2003 SHOT show and it seems that quite a few people asked about AAA Li's. Her responce was that the OEM's need to start the demand for them before Energizer will produce them.
