Long range flashlight - help please

Hi,

I am looking to buy a long range flash light but since there are so many on the market, I don't know which brand and model to opt for. Apart from being long range, I also want it (if exists) to be able to narrow the light and pinpoint on an object. I appreciate your help. Thanks

Sounds like you want a laser.

What's "long range" and how much of what kind of an object do you want to see at that range?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I was looking at Xeon G42, but are there more torches that have longer range than this? I mentioned this torch just to give you an idea of what I am looking at. I don't think it falls under the category of laser but. Just to explain further, the Xeon G42 has 3 modes that show 'different' light. Don't know if there are torches that you can 'zoom' in and out the light. I don't know if I clarified the idea better? Thanks

I believe you are referring to the Xeno G42, not Xeon. Try looking at the LED Lenser series of lights, they are zoomable or focusable.

DEFT-X is currently the longest range LED flashlight, $895.

The Xeno G42 is 1x18650. Comparable reflectored throwers are Armytek Predator V2.5, Lumintop T5 Hunter, Vinhnyugen G25C2Vn. Typically aspherics will throw much farther such as the Dereelight Nightmaster or Xsearcher, OSTS Nightmaster. Vinhnyugen and OSTS have modded forms of lights that will throw significantly further than their stock counterparts. LED Lenser/Coast are focusable but don't get much love on these forums.

You need to be more specific regarding cost, size of light, type of batteries etc, to receive better recommendations.
