Longbow circuit question???

Depends on the vF of the luxeon. The Micra uses a boost circuit, so using a Li-Ion would put in it direct drive. But a few people have reported using this setup with no problems.

Well, I guess if it smokes it, that will just give me an excuse to put a Lux III in there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

no it wount.
i've tested rechargeable cells in my micra for many days, it will just make your Micra brighter.

I like the sound of that. Especially since I have 2 Micras and 4 JSB R123's on the way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I tried my Pila 168 in the Micra this weekend. I don't know how the circuit works and I know the tailcap measurement isn't correct with the booster in there. But with a fresh 123 cell, I got a reading of 690mA at the tailcap and with the Pila I got 490mA. I don't know what the reading at the LED was. But the light did seem slightly brighter.
