Working on my aspheric Romisen mod and appear to have hit a roadblock with drivers. I need a 14-15mm (can make anything up to 17mm fit if there's nothing smaller) driver that will give a minimum of 1.2A to the LED from 1AA NiMH. Must be single mode. The best I've found so far is only 1A and has 5 modes. Does anyone know of something that would do the job? Thanks very much.

Edit: I have checked DX, kaidomain, shiningbeam, the sandwich shoppe and even manafont with no joy.

The current draw on that single AA will need to be over 3 Amps to get 1.2A to the LED (3 volts) Doubt you will find a driver. Maybe consider running the AA size lithium ion to get the voltage you need.

Thanks guys. That shingbeam driver is pretty good, I've got it in another of my Romisens, but for this one the improvement over the stock driver is too small. I shall continue searching and will probably wire two smaller drivers in parallel to get the desired output. I may have to sacrifice another romisen to the cause due to some overzealous lathe work leaving very little space for heatsink and driver.
