The longest thrower are not always hi-output...more often they are not. Smaller led`s tend to focus a more concentrated beam of light. While larger leds tend to be more spread out but have higher output.

Good for you GeoBruin. :) If I was in the market for another light, that would absolutely be on my short list!
The TN30 and TN31 and the Supbeam X40 and K40 are pretty much twins. I know that the TN30 and TN31s are quality lights, a modded K40 would be awesome.

Enjoy it once you get it.
