I'm looking for some good flourescent lanterns for hurricane season. I already have the Rayovac 18 watt one, and lots of little Energizer LED folders and some Coleman Micropackers.
I'd really like something like this one I found online, but I'm not sure of the quality, it looks like you have to order in quantity, and I don't need the cassette player.

I keep a spare 12V car battery on hand (soon to be replaced with a deep cycle) and I'd like to be able to plug the lantern into it, or charge it up with the battery or my car, and still have the option of using D batteries also. It looks like the lantern in that link can use it's SLA or regular primaries (assumably D cells). Remote control and a night light feature like some of the Colemans have would be nice too.
