I recently lost my Spartanian Free.Light and want to find a replacement. I cannot find them for sale anywhere, so I will be looking for something else comparable. I welcome all suggestion for a light with similar specs and price. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Olite T10. I have both of them here the only advantage of the Free.Light is that it isn't as blue. The T10 has a tighter throw (if that is what you want) with more total output.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I was totally happy with the Spartanian as my EDC light. I used it daily working in the IT field. Someone thought it would be great to have a totally black data center. Black ceiling, black walls, black racks, black computers, insufficient light... yea, genius. It became a necessity. Even the computer rooms that were not all black were not properly lighted to see into the back of racks while patching in network and SAN connections.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I have been eyeing the new Fenix P1D Q5, but is is a bit pricer than the Free.Light was. I really want a 1 CR123 light as a replacement.

What is the S II you say I should wait for? Never heard of it. It is the new model?

Yep, Neoseikan is the guy who made the first Spartanian...

The S II looks like a really interesting piece of kit, and the UI looks groundbreaking. Allthoug it will only run on rechargable CR123. And he hasn't mentioned a price yet. Still, might be worth the wait.

At least, for those who work in room, the wide 3 areas beam will help their eyes.

Is it true that is only runs on rechargeable CR123? I have a tons of CR123 that came with my light. I really want something that will run on them. As an alternative, AAs or AAAs would be acceptable but I doubt they will perform as well. Man, I wish i could just find a light exactly like the one I lost. :(

Any other suggestions? Maybe I should open my search a bit...

Any others suggestions? Any idea where I may still be able to find one?

I have tried many google searches and cannot find one anywhere.

Thanks.

Hi. If you just need a CR123A light. then a Spartanian 1 will be OK.

thelinuxcat,

I have a Free.Light Spartanian in what I would say is mint condition. If you'd like to PM me with your full address, I'll get it off to you in exchange for a modest fee of your choosing. I don't have any original box, etc. - it only has an attached wrist strap and works just fine. Since you have a lot of the CR123s, you should have plenty of fun with it!

Regards, Jackie
