Lost my Fenix pd32UE :(

So I lost my PD 32UE in the attic working on the furnace. I could of sworn I put it in my jacket pocket. Later that day I reached in my pocket and realized it was not there... I searched the area I worked in and some of the insulation to no luck.


Anyhow, I know the logical thing would be is to get the PD35, but since the UC40UE was released with 960. Im not sure what to get. I do have other lights I can use, but nothing that is over the 200lm thats pocket friendly. So I was wondering what you guys would reconmend me to do. I can hold off a bit probally if you all think there may be an updated version of the pd35 coming out.

the nitecore P12 is fairly similar to the fenix UI I think.

the only thing is the PD32UE had a warmer tint than your standard cool white LED's

Sorry to hear you may have lost your light, hope you get to find it. If you were happy with the PD32 UE you should try to get a... PD32 UE. Not sure what the PD35 offers more than the PD32 UE. They are probably hard to find now though.
I don't think Fenix are going to release a newer PD35 as it's not been around for that long and is probably one of their best-selling lights at the moment. The Nitecore P12 suggested by the poster above is a viable alternative: it also has a 1-lumen low, memory on strobe and I think it might even tailstand somehow. That said I have both Nitecore and Fenix lights and if it was one or the other, I'd tend to go for Fenix as I find their build quality better so far. I can't compare reliability from a personal experience as I bought most of my Nitecore lights only this year.

I've got no hands on experience with the fenix lights. I do however have a nitecore P12. I like it.

The brightness levels are well spaced for me. It will tail stand, tho it won't take much to knock it over.

I find that it rides higher in the pocket than I would like, and it carries bezel down.

The voltage indicator is useful. I find the side switch very difficult to locate without actually looking at it.

The clip rotates around the body quite easily so using the clip for orientation to the side switch doesn't work so well.

I do like the P12 very much, but it is not my choice for EDC...not due to size, but some of the issues I listed above.

Hope you find your light so all of this is irrelevant tho :)

That really sucks I know the feeling I lost my PD32UE about 15 times, but luckily I found it 15 times (sometimes lost for over 3 days)

If you don't mind to switch over from NW to CW it might be a logical thing.
I would not buy me a CW when my NW get lost or get broken.

I am not a specialist so ik can't really recommend you anything but i am very satisfied with my Eagletac D25LC2 with Cree NW led.

I haven't lost any lights because they are all shelf queens. Maybe some day I should use them as they were meant to be :shrug:. I do use the more inexpensive ones beyond just the house though.

I lost a maglite i had for years virtually since they came out and on Tuesday lost my trusty Swiss Army knife,i am gutted.Buying a new knife this afternoon and it is going to cost me nearly £40 to replace it.

Same here! I purchased two before they were discontinued, but you can still get them. AWESOME tint; both mine are about 5000K, so cooler than the "neutrals" many people may think of. The huge spot on the PD32UE just makes it extremely useful - no panning all over back and forth, up and down.

Did you have the pocket clip on it? If so it is time to break the magnetic bar out and go thru the insulation or if you know someone with a metal detector...

Well guys, this week I sold my PD32UE . It was a tough decision :confused:. I went to the back yard with 4 lights in the pocket and said something has to go. Shined them out there to see their operation in real life.

I have to say that the thing that kind of bugged me about the PD32UE was the lack meshing that huge spot with the flood area which others did a better job of. I really liked the 5000k tint though. But the PD32UE simply was a shelf queen for me.

Coincidentally I lost my 32ue as well this morning in the foot of snow we got. I thought I dropped it at work and couldn't find it so I promptly ordered a nitecore p12 at lunchtime. So when I got home and was using the snow blower on the driveway guess what came launching out...... Yep the 32ue. Must have fallen out when I was getting in my car. It still works too

The PD35 is also a great light, but I like the flood of the PD32UE as well as the tint compared to the PD35. I wouldn't want to give it up. The PD35 throws some more, but I don't think it's worth it since it's not really a ton more than the PD32UE. If I wanted to get a single-18650 light that throws more I would probably get one that throws a lot more than the PD35. But that's just my opinion of course. Either way, they're great lights, and I wouldn't hesitate to get another Fenix!

Agree 100% with everything. Unfortunatley the PD32UEs are not at a discounted price. Still pretty high on Amazon and anywhere else I've seen them. In fact, they seemed to have increased quite a bit!

Yes it did, I tried to use one of my tool magnet and went through all the rafters on both sides about 5 ft away from the walk way but to no luck... I may try using a speaker magnet...
