I get a 2D Incandescent torch with a very low-price. I successfully replace it with MCE/K.
- A custom reflector buy from the same shop with diameter 53mm diameter 30mm deep.
- AX2002 circuit, 5-12V 1.4A with low voltgate protect.
- LED MCE/K
- 2 32600 Lithium-ion battery
It is easy to replace the original plastic reflector with the new metallic reflector, the screw pitch is good fit between the body and reflector. In order to increase the radiation area, I reuse the bulb seat of the body. It also act as a cathode.
Cut away part of the bulb seat until it can screw into the torch header.
upper: altered bulb seat lower: original bulb seat
left : altered bulb seat right: original bulb seat
left : altered bulb seat right: original bulb seat
Reversed the bulb seat and screw into the original position. Here I get extra space to host the deeper reflector and circuit.A plastic tube is inserted into the hole to prevent anode short circuit.
The plate is act as cathode and assist radiator.
Install the head back and completed the installation. The centre of the beamshots is slightly dim but not affect usage.
There is 3 torches using for comparison.
- 3D torch with difference 52mm reflector MCE/K 1.4A
- 2D torch with 53mm reflector MCE/K 1.4A
- 502B torch with 26.5mm reflector 5Q-WH 1A
