Need to get a brand name on Titanium NIMH AA and AAA low-self discharge AA and AAA batteries. Let me know if you got good ideas. It is like naming a baby. Please email to [email protected]. Please put the subject line: Naming. Will award 2 dozen new batteries( 12 AA + 12 AAA low self-discharge) to the chosen name.

We will introduce two low-self discharging ( 20% Annual loss of charge at 68 degree Fahrenheit)

Will be
AA 2100mAh
AAA 800mAh

Availability: Around April 2006 depending how early we got the name straight out.

We currently have over 50 NIMH/NICAD chargers.

There will be a few more coming including
super fast charger, multi-channel ( more than 4 channels) chargers.

Regards,
Wayne

I like "Uranium" better than "Plutonium", mostly because it rhymes with "Titanium".

Hi Wayne,

It sounds like these new batteries will offer similar performance to Sanyo's Eneloop batteries.

I like the "Titanium" name so maybe adding some letters after it to differentiate from the standard batteries would be good.

How about "Titanium LSD" (Low Self Discharge) or "Titanium XCR" (eXtra Capacity Retention)?

I think terms connoting endurance ("enduro" etc) or strength, sound like they refer to the cell's capacity, i.e. how long it will run something under load, rather than the (charged) shelf life. That's why I went for connoting "stability" instead of strength or stamina. Everyone's cells claim to be strong and long-lasting. "Stability" is the characteristic that nobody has promoted before because previous cells didn't have it.

Titanium Renaissance-the all around battery solution
Titanium Eternium-the battery that's always ready
Titanium Gibraltar-the rock solid, always ready battery

Adding letters to the Titanium name as suggested by others is also a good idea. Not sure about Titanium LSD though. :D

I too agree with Ben_H and greenLED. When the name Titanium comes up we think of amondotech. By extending on the original name ("Titanium XCR") will help you build on your market recognition.

I didn't like the "Titanium LSD" because the "LSD" part is also related to something else we so love. You might get FB! inquiries on what your secret chemistry is
