Low setting only surefire e2d led defender

Man, I tell you this is becoming a love hate relationship. Not only have I dropped it on concrete and the bezel is scratched up, my "new" surefire e2d led defender only functions on the low setting now. Now the former is totally my fault, but does the latter mean I need to replace the batteries already? It's less than a month old and I haven't even used it that often. :-(

If you've used the high level often, it would't surprise me that you'd need new batts.

Depending on the light, a month battery turnover doesn't sound out of the ordinary (at least for my usage and lights I have used).

I agree, you have probably just drained your first set of batteries. My E2L behaves like that when its batteries go dead.
