I need to order one unit to make sure it'll fit. I had planned on doing the DR1000 units, but they only come in GU24, so I'll have to be ordering an edison to gu24 converter- about 3$ or so, but more of an annoyance and I need to test the clearances inside of the can.
The CR6 would be a good choice but I don't want 2700K. Even 3500 is pushing it for me, but I'll deal.
I have 8' ceilings it appears- although I'm not sure if it's 9' as I can just touch it flat footed. Yes, I have a tape measure but I keep forgetting.
Rooms are roughly 12' square. By the standard can statements on a 6' pattern I'd have more than enough light. Putting 4 cans in each room gives me almost 2x the light I'd expect to need- and places only 40 watts of load on each circuit instead of 240.
4 in the baby room, 4 or 6 in the nursery (I haven't decided- it's longer)... and 4 in the Den, although I may just hold off on that.
6 in the fireplace... if I ever get around to it.
So the cost difference is pretty significant between the two...
Your thoughts?
