After a few years of hard use my SF G2 lamp finally gave up.
Being new to this flashoholic thing I started doin a little research and wanted to try something other than the factory stuff. After lookin at the LF listings the HO-6 looked like a good compromise and priced good too..
Ordered it from Lighthound(outstanding service)and it showed up today.
Couldn't wait for it to get dark. Just took it outside with the wifes G2 to use as a comparison (hers still has the p60 lamp). Still using primaries in both.
There is a difference. The first thing I noticed is the LF doesn't have the nasty looking yellow tint to it like the p60 does. It is noticeably brighter as well, really noticeable when shining at a distance into some trees at aprrox. 75 yards. Looks like a nicely made product.
Not a very high tech review. Will be curious to see if the run times are close to advertised.

Hi Electro Idiot,

I doubt you are an idiot (CPF name? hehe), you found CPF!! only genius's would find themselves on here posting! MUAHHAAH

Anyways, yes, the LumensFactory offerings are pretty nice. By sacrificing some estimated bulb life they provide a higher color temperature which often equates to a more useful illumination experience. Many people on here have been very impressed by the uniform tight beam patterns available from LF. They've done a pretty respectable job of making a quality replacement lamp worth mention!
