Purchased an LX2 a couple years ago and it's my go to light for most all needs, best Surefire in my limited lineup for sure.
Really like the power, beam shape and design.
Problem is I've tried hard to like the user interface and it’s just not happening.....at all.
Ideally I would like to convert it to a two stage clicky, even a single stage (high output only) would be better than the current design in my opinion.

I've searched for quite a while and unless I'm missing something not having any luck finding a way to convert the LX2 to a clicky.

If it’s not possible then so be it, I'll still use it, would really like to convert it if possible however.

Thanks,
Tom

Unfortunately, there are no clicky tailcaps that fit the LX2 body, and I'm not aware of any way to retrofit a clicky. Two solutions: 1) Put the LX2 head on a E2E body, but you'll only have the high output. 2) Sell the LX2 and buy a E2DL. This will give you the 5/200 lm output with a TIR lens. You can get some good deals in the Marketplace.

My LX2 is a clicky : I am using a body and a tailcap from a E2L with my LX2 head. I lost the LOW but I don't care ... clicky for me is a must.

Thanks for the quick replies, I'll be on the lookout for an E2E / E2L.

I have had an E2DL for a few yesrs, but ended up not crasy about the High then Low interface, so I bought an LX2. I thought..... Low, then press harder for High would be excellent, but it hasn't worked out as well as expected.

My current plan is to get a Malkoff VME (or future Malkoff E sereis head) for the E2DL, and keep using the LX2 as is. It would be very good to have more control options;
