M20 problems?

So i got my M20 premium in the mail a few weeks back for my primary car flashlight. Anyway, the light is flickering 3 times when started up and every once in a while during use (20 seconds) like manual states. I read the manual which states that this is a "low battery indicator" but the batteries are fresh surefires ... and I have tried more than 1 set in the light. I then read that to clean the terminals etc and i have done everything possible but it still flickers. I do not use the light in a wet environment .. what could be the cause?
