My new EagleTac M2XC4 (neutral white) is such an incredible light I felt compelled to post a few beamshots of it compared to two other great lights. These photos are all the same exposure with the white balance set to show close to the same colors that I saw. The trees are about 120 feet from the light.

Strange, the DBS 3SD R2 should have a smaller, but more intense hot spot, than the Tiablo ACE MC-E. Did the hot spot over shoot the tree tops maybe? :p

You should also see the beam in the same way that you see the beam in the Tiablo MC-E shot. Sure the DBS was on high and not medium? :p

Re: What An Incredible Light!

Thank you, great info.

I too think that your dereelight shot might be underexposed compared to the two others.

May i suggest you to include "M2CX4" in your title ?

I checked the exposures, all are 13 seconds, f4.5 ISO 400. I also have medium and low shots for the DBS so I'm certain I had it set on high. The DBS has an OP reflector, would that explain the dimmer hot spot?

Tonight I'll check the alignment to see if the hot spot overshot the trees. Last night I was concentrating on getting the spill into the frame so I may have neglected to center the hot spot of the DBS.

Op reflector on DBS, it should be at least 60% less bright.

I stand corrected, while it was stated, i didn't realize the dereelight beamshot was with the OP reflector.

The neutral white M2XC4 is very tempting
