Yes, the FM15 is Pyrex.
Yes, it is good. It produces a red beam.

You may like to check whether a replacement M3 bezel is cheaper then an FM15...

Also, I'm forever cleaning my Pyrex BeamFilters. The Lenses are coated and totally cool looking but show fingerprints. This doesn't trouble the beam but I don't like my fingerprints on anything (...)

i know what you guys mean, i was looking at my M2 Bezel since i switched to mainly using the KT2 and had it sitting on my table, and noticed it was dusty and had a bunch of fingerprints on it, i was like OMG i was so careful and its that dirty!?!?!????? so i hooked it up and turned it on, didnt seem to effect the light output. Then i cleaned it very well and had it spotless and turned it on, it was not any brighter, after that i just clean it once a week and leave it at that. If it has no effect why bother.

I have an M3 and have considered a filter. I don't think I really have much need for one at this point. I would also find myself missing the nice white beam when ever I time filtered it. Quite the quandry indeed, to filter or not to filter...

Hey All,
I'm getting a SF M3 and I'm thinking of getting the FM15 Red Filter to protect the lens but still give me the benefits of a red light at night.
1)Is the filter lens pyrex?
2)Is it any good?

Chears for any info!
