Can someone post a pic of the M4 in hand? I want to get a better idea of how long it is. Thanks!

This is the M4 with KL6 bezel and SW01 tailcap:

And next to some batteries for scale:

The M4 looks so funny when used with the Kl6 and with the SW01 it makes it look even more funny - can't help myself. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif :wants one:

Klaus.

Heh, that's the funkiest looking thing. I thought the KL6 was meant to run on the M3. What happens when you run it on the M4? You get a bit more runtime (assume current is controlled so you don't get more brightness)? Or is that just for effect? I thought too much voltage was bad juju.

The KL6 uses a stepdown converter, so using 4 cells instead of 3 just gives you a longer runtime (about half an hour longer in regulation). Its not any brighter, and it doesnt run hotter.
The real benefit of this setup is the fact that you can run it with 2x Pila 168s. The 150s dont quite fit in the L6.

Boo--I didn't want to know that. Now I will probably be tempted to buy an L6 so that I can use two 168s batteries /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/broke.gif Haha, backwards, I know... buy a light to save on battery costs /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Hmmm, ok, maybe not. I actually like the output of the M4 incan.

ERiC: I don't have any pics of the light in my hand, but the light is 12 inches long. If you have a TigerLight FBOP, the M4 is just a bit longer than that (well, a tailcap length longer).

Thanks. How does the runtime of the Pilas compare to running 123As?

I would guesstimate around an hour of regulation, as i find it impossible to tell when it drops out of regulation. Theres no flickering, no sudden drop in brightness.
YMMV, depending on the vF of the LED in your particular KL6, it may not even run in regulation on freshly charged Pilas.

It *looks* like a good impact weapon, but the weight distribution is all wrong. Most of the weight is in the handle, while the KL6 head seems to weigh nothing. Bad if youre looking for a club, but great for extended use as a flashlight.

That light is pretty sexy. I like how the tailcap looks. What are its benefits over the stock tailcap?

The SW01 and SW02 Clickie tend to give better secure grip.
I've found that straight-bodied models like the 12PM and M4 can push out of my grip. The "chunkie" styling stops this from happening.

FNinjaP90,
The photos I sent you by email bounced back. If you would like to see them, please email me.

What pictures are you trying to send me? Oh yeah, I've changed my email but whenever I try to fix it in my profile it says "We cannot proceed." If you want to send me pictures, my email address is [email protected]

Ah... Just a couple photos of me holding the M4 with and without an SW02 attached...

Okay, I believe I've changed it for you.

Al
