Hello folks. Does anybody have the current version of the M91BW, and if so could you please post some beam shots and general thoughts on this drop in?

What is the runtime like on 3x cr123's and how long does it maintain max output before a noticeable drop? Has anybody used one in a two cell light with 2x cr123's or a 16650, and if so how was output with those? I am curious if the M91BW would have higher output in a two cell light than the 400 lumen M61W.

I am not sure to answer your questions but the M91's these days run just fine on 1x18650. But will also run good on more voltages. There is a TON of info in the M91 threads here on CPF.

I just have the standard 91 and GB 91's but runtime on 3 primary cells at full power is short 20 minutes till it starts to drop if I remember right. She pulls a lot of amps on 2x cr123's. It's not recommended. I have done it quite often and haven't blown up or anything like that but many frown on it soooo Take it as you will. The 91 is a damn good one.

I know it's not the most optimal setup, but the M91 on an MD3 is my favorite setup.
No doubt, the MD4 is better suited for performance....but the MD3 is a fantastic form factor.

+ 1 on this. I carry a MD3/M91T everyday. Its my favorite light of all times. Iam actually going to be sad if the Bodyguard takes over as my SD light.

M91B with 2X123s is 2750ma
with 8Vis 1500ma

Here's my simple setup

yes, two new Battery Station 123s

Maybe it's my wall but the M91b looked just as bright on the wall with 6V as it did with 8V.
I don't have a light meter.

Ya under load they will be less then that but they should look real close.

I believe it is 2. It's bigger than 4. It's a negative battery cable with the ends cut off. I wanted to make sure I had enough wire to handle the loads. Haha

Now if two cells will be your primary setup, then a neat option is below:
Next to an MD2. MD2 is 5.13", the other is 4.30"
Specs: bulletproof twisty, M61T H/L ring, MD1.5, Oveready -15mm tailcap, 18650 flat battery or 2XC123
(@PoliceScannerMan sold me on this fantastic setup)

Thanks for the responses. I wanted to have an idea of the different ways the drop in could be used. It seems like none of them are limited to just one way of use.

I plan to get an m91bw for a surefire C3 (but first, im after a C2), and eventually I will get an md2 host as another option. These lego lights are so fun.
