I am asking folks here who owns the new Maelstrom G5 with the S2 emitters and whom also owns the SF LX2 or the 200 lumens E2DL what would your opinion be on the S2 G5.
I have both the LX2 and E2DL and I am on the fence about ordering an S2 Maelstrom G5 but I am not sure what to expect out of it. Is the G5 S2 brighter? Even at say 50 to 100 yards? I don't really bother about the multiple modes as I could always depend on the HDS clickies for that (my primary EDC). I am only interested in the max output comparison.
How about size wise? Is the G5 substantially bigger? Since I have a Quark 123^2 Turbo, you can use that too as a comparison. Can't really visualize just by comparing dimensions alone on the spec sheet. A photo showing the differences would be great!
Would I be missing anything without the G5 S2? I had saved some money in my PayPal account from some light sales for the coming cerakoted HDS clicky but I am not sure if I should spend some on the G5.
