Hi there all,
First time poster here, and seeing as I never post on online forums, you can take my word that I have exhausted all foreseeable options.
I have purchased (being shipped currently) the titular item and I aim to mount it to the 12 o'clock rail of an AR-15 handguard. Given the popularity of Surefire pressure switches and way-too-expensive-for-my-taste lights, I am looking to find (I guess they're commonly referred to as) a pocket panel for the 4Sevens switch. I believe Ergo and Tango Down make several for Picatinny systems.
Question: Is the 4Sevens (foursevens now?) pressure switch for the Maelstrom G5 compatible with any of these mounting solutions? If not, would a careful hand with a dremel carving out one of these Surefire or Insight switch panels be effective?
