Maelstrom G5

Is the Maelstrom G5 worth $59 new, or would you spend your money on something more current ? Also do they work well with 18650's ?

The G5 is a very nice light. I think it is worth every cent of the $59. I sold mine away some time back but regretted and bought an X7 neutral white. Quite the same as the G5 but has a wider hot spot and less throw due to the bigger XM-L emitter. They are pretty tough lights and I don't see them as being obsolete yet.
