Mag C/D High Temp Socket kits - SOLD
With these kits, you could mod your Mag to accept almost all Bi-pin bulbs. (thick or thin pin, 10W to 100W or what else you like, fit either camless and cammed reflectors) E.g. WA1185, 1274, 1331; Philip's, Orsam's bi-pin bulbs(G4/G5.3/G6.35) & MR16.
The assembly help pages are available here: http://kiu01139.host.sk/index.htm (Please inform me if the link is broken, thanks)
The Aluminium adaptor are recommended to hold in position by using screws and nut. So that you can easily interchange it from any Mag D host(2D-6D) to another D host if you need to do so. Also, It is not recommended to use the thick pin(e.g. 35W/50W halogen bulbs) and thin pin bulbs(e.g WA's bulbs) with the same ceramic socket. As the thick pin bulbs alway enlarge the holes and make it holding the thin pin bulbs loosely.
The height of the socket is set (with the 10mm hexagonal nut) for optimal focusing with WA bulbs, but it could be adjusted to fit MR16 or larger bulbs (with shorter nut).
The aluminum base plate of Mag D kit has been slightly adjusted in 5th & 4th run (2mm increased in total height).
For the MagC kit, the adaptor is self-centered/fixed in position without the need of screws. No modification of the switch core is required for the mod (Except cutting of the negative metal strip).
