I'm looking to take a couple of C mags (ROP HI, WA1111) up a notch and get around some of the resistance in the switch. I know I can solder wire or copper braid around/through some of the contacts (like the spring in the ROP) and otherwise improve on the contacts elsewhere in the light to cut resistance, but what about the switch itself? I've done all the searching I can, but it looks like the really nice guides (like AW's) that used to exist on resistance mods in general are now lacking the all-important pictures documenting the procedures. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I'm definitely willing to do a rocker switch mod as well if I can get some guidance, as long as I can maintain some water/dirt resistance there (keeping it recessed would be a plus too.)
Any ideas would be appreciated! I'm trying to keep it cheap though - I've already spent way too much on bulbs, batteries, and a couple of 6C bodies, so the AW drop-in driver is out for now.
