HI GUY'S,

i seem to be having a problem with my MAG85 9AA FM holder, sometimes it does not go on at all, then it only works for a few mins, im using 9x eneloops from DX, when i charge the batterys after i run the MAG85, only two or maybe three of them need charging, thats why im going in the direction of the FM holder not making contact maybe? just to add i also use a AW soft start switch 15% 30% 100% which works fine

any advise would be appreciated.

A couple of things come to mind. You could have some bad batteries in the batch. Or there could be a dirty connection. Clean all springs, contacts and threads. Lightly lube the o-rings and threads with silicone grease. I'd change the batteries. I have one from Fivemega, and it is truly a superior work of art and machine work. I run WA1185s in 2 lights and they are wicked-bright!

I'd change the batteries, and make sure your battery holders are of first quality. I have one from Fivemega, and it is truly a superior work of art and machine work. He said it's an FM (FiveMega) holder.

Kill this thread. The old replies were deleted, but the OP had figured out that he had crushed/damaged some of his batteries by overtightening the FM holder.
