Maglite 2D Project?

The other day I pickup a Maglite 2D at a Thrift Store for $2.95
Why so cheap? missing lens and missing bulb ring (collar).
I checked with the Nite Ize Led I had on my other 3D and it works, but I want both of them working.... so what should I do with my new (to me) 2D?

led dropin? what about the led lock ring?

Youll need a new lens and 'bulb' anyhows for a proper build!

There are plenty of folks here who have MagLite tower parts kicking around who would probably give the lock ring to you for the asking. Lens, too, for that matter. You'll need a few more posts under your belt to activate your PMs, though.
