Maglite accessories

Can anybody recomment accessories for C and D cell Maglites? Belt holders and clips etc.

check out zbattery.com I think Nite-Ize pouched are pretty good, and I've heard good things about ripoff holsters.

Look in any police supply catalog, or online retail store. They will still have losts of maglite stuff. I carried a C cell in a ring loop for years and it worked well.

I'd get the anti-roll ring (usually sold with the colored filters, but I've found them being sold separately). I've got 2 2-D LED MagLites that I use around-the-house so equipped, and they have been useful when doing repair work.

Why in the world do the NVG and IR filters for the Maglites cost so damn much? Why so much for two little pieces of plastic?

There is a comparable (somewhat) flashlight that comes with NVG and Red filters for a fraction of the costs:

Seriously, they cost several times more than the lights themselves. Why is that?
