Maglite Mods

I am looking to mod a 2cmaglite. I am planning to put CR123's in it. what bulb would be brightest with two cr123's? and also with 3 of them, since 3 Cr123's will fit in the 2d maglite. thank you for the input. I'm not terribly concerned with burn time mind.. so long as it's more than say 25 minutes.

I remember someone here that stuffed 4 123A cells in a 3D mag and used a MR-16 halogen lamp for the light source. Anyway, try to find something that can run on close to 9 volts (7.2 volts might be the low limit if you are over-powering a lamp to get more light.

I might try a Sure Fire lamp assembly if I can afford them

2x123 would probably do okay with a 4cell KPR113(4.8V) bulb.

3x123 is NICE with a 5cell M*g Standard Krypton bulb (or a KPR112 fron Radioshack).

An MR16 20W assembly didn't get bright and white until 6x123...
