Ok i have a few questions about some of my maglites. I have a 6D maglite and ive had it for awhile and its be dropped and beaten and rolling around in my car for awhile too so now the finish is all dinged and blemished. didnt know if there is any coating that works well that i can do or just best to try to find someone to reanodize it. And my second light is a 2D rop that im almost done with, just waiting for the battery adapter, but i have the FM bi-focal reflector and i have been interested in some of the asperical lenses and i didnt know if one would work well with this set up or just not worth it. Probably wouldnt use it all the time, just if it helped throw, may be worth having around. Ive tryed to look for lenses but it seems like i cant find any in stock.

My purely personal view is that use-related blemishes are not important on a working light and I would leave the unit with those honourable scars. But, if I wanted a pretty one, I'd buy new and put it on a shelf. Don't have an opinion on the other issue: I don't look to that company for lighting, just for a big honking flash unit in the car to legally fend off bad guys, or to more generally hit things with.
 
it would be cheaper to buy new 6d than reanodise, asphercals work well with leds, not bulbs, what you have is bifocal reflector not lens, which is as good as it gets for rop bulb.
 
It might be cheaper to buy a new 6D and keep the old one for spare parts. Or you could find an auto body repair shop that can sandblast and custom paint light for you. I have two maglites that I sandblasted and painted foliage green camo and desert camo.
