Not sure if this is a good forum for it...Nobody is biting over on the GlockTalk forum but I'll try a couple other places as well.

Does anyone here have experience with making kydex sheaths or holsters? I have a 9mm Baby Eagle for which noone makes a kydex IWB holster. So, I'd like to give it a go and make one myself. However, I have no idea currently how to go about doing this. Any advice on what kinds and thickness of kydex, where to purchase, how to mold, where to find clips/rivets, etc would be very helpful to me. Or direct me to a website that gives any info on said subject. I've already found two knivemaking supply stores that sell kydex and found one semi-faq on making a knife sheath, but I'm hoping to find more info.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/comments.

Go to this website http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel

Eric is a regular poster on bladeforums and has come over to these forums recently. His username is Normark. He makes all sorts of kydex gear like holsters, knife sheaths and even the little holder for the Arc-AAA.

I don't have any of his work, but I have had advice from him before when I tried making my own kydex sheaths (didn't get him to make it because I can't bear to have my knives travelling back and forth across the oceans. Increases the chances of them getting lost). But everyone who has spoken about Eric's work have expressed satisfaction, and I'm sure you will as well.

Go to www.texasknife.com . They have everything there and the prices are fair.
Items to have are:
Superglues. Thin, thick, Instacure and glue solvent.
Grommets. 1/8 and 1/4 in black with setting tools.
Kydex. I use 0.0625" for most things and also use 0.125".
Hows that?

I believe they are very similar.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The Baby Eagle has a full length dust cover. The CZ75 does not. This difference wouldn't matter for a loosely fitting leather holster, but a kydex holster form fitted to a CZ would most not likely fit a BE. Obviously, the CZ would fit in a BE holster but be slightly looser...

Looks like the IPSC CZ75 has a dust cover:

I forgot about a couple of the other small differences. So my last comment about the CZ working in BE holster is questionable.

But thanks for the response(s).
