Actually guys, I can see a scenario where this makes perfect sense.

If the card is intended as a gift, and the purchaser lives nowhere near a WalMart, then the additional $2.51 might be less than the costs of purchasing one in person. I don't know if WalMart sells these online (they probably do), or whether or not they charge any additional fees or shipping charges...but if they do, then this might make sense.

Might have something to do with the fac that it's "reloadable". Standard gift cards are not, and after 2 years they start charging you a monthly fee. Doesn't sound like this card has that problem.
