Map / Dome 31mm festoon replacements?

Hello,

I'd like to replace current 8W 12V 31mm festoon lamps in my car
to get better light and save on battery drain.
Sometime my kid doesn't turn off dome light and overnight car battery can be drained and car will not start at morning

I'd like to address this by replacing 8W to 1W - 2W LED.

Are those from DX any good sku.13435
can those run for 10 hours without overheating?
Any other recommendations are very welcome. :shrug:

Second one. Brighter than the first and has a decent amount of heatsink. The cheaper chinese ones just look too cheap...and they don't list lumens

I've gotten all my vehicle LED replacements from Diode Dynamics. Paul is super easy to work with and has excellent service. He offers a huge range of replacement light for any vehicle. Here's his site:

Paul offers a discount if you order a whole vehicles worth (map lights, dome lights, trunk light, door marker lights and glove box). He does not have a predefined combo kit for every vehicle out there however. I'll add that I've converted my Accord over to all LED's. I was so happy with his product and service I ordered a kit (I had to create it myself but he gave me the discount) for my brothers Tahoe. Now that I think about it I need to order new bulbs for the wife's new Murano. Give him a try, you'll be happy.

This thread interests me. I have been looking for an LED replacement but they all seem so cheap except the one from TaskLED but thats pretty expensive. I thought about making my own but then didn't think I could pull it off. I would be interested in any more products people can think of.

Update.
In addition to Weathertech floor mats for the Murano I also got my wife a complete set of interior LEDs. I ordered from Paul at diodedynamics.com again. I just couldn't ask for a better product at any price.
