What's the best way to mark or label a battery? can I just write on it using a sharpy? Are labels from a p-touch a good idea?
I'm wondering if writing on the battery with a sharpy-type permanent marker, then applying a thin layer of clear nail polish would work? I find the permanent ink does wear off, and with tape you have to worry about a tight fit or the glue running when the cells get warm and leaving a sticky mess. I would think the clear polish would be thin and more permanent. Has anyone tried this?On my 18650 blue wrappers I wrapped a bit of scotch tape around either end to thicken it so it fit the tubes better without rattle. Since I have some space I used sharpy to write the # on it then cover in a single wrap of scotch tape. Works great.
