I'm thinking about getting either a 6P + LED drop-in (Malkoff seems popular around here), or a regular 6P LED, but I'd want to mod it to get multi-level operation. It seems that the McC2S might do the job. However, I have a couple of questions...
1) Will this switch actually work with the 6P/6PL?
2) I assume that the final output levels depend on the resistor value chosen, but how do I work out what value I need? For example, if I start with a 6PL with 80 lumens out, and want a low of 4 lumens (i.e. 5% of max), what should I use?
3) How does the new switch affect the UI? I believe the 6P is push for momentary on, twist for constant on. But since the McC2S is designed for multi-level use, how does the push/twist work?
4) Does the switch affect regulation? I guess it would...
Thanks,
Dave.
