does anyone know how good the mcculloch HID conversion kits are for car headlights. i've tried doing searches but havent come up with any info. i'm thinking of getting the HID conversion kit for my car and ebay has some mcculloch kits for under $300, but i would like some background on them and how they compare with the phillips HID kits or other brands. thanks

Well, I don't know about their headlight conversions, but the HID spotlights are very good. I believe they use the same bulbs and ballast as their headlights. My X990 is the highest quality item I've ever seen that was made in Taiwan.

I had a Phillips HID kit on my truck, I had to take it out because it was too bright. I've been considering the McCulloch HID coversion kits and from what I can see it is a very good kit for the money. I plan on getting 6000k because 4300k (like their flashlight and my old Phillips HID kit) has too much yellow for my taste.

i agree with the 6000k, its very white. do you know what websites i can look at for some real info. the guy on ebay said that i can go and pick up the kit to save on shipping(he is in arcadia), V8TOYTRUCK, if you are interested i will ask if he can give me a discount if i get 2 kits. let me know if you want one

I have a few friends that want some too, there is also a guy in West Covina that is selling them for around the same price. I don't have the $$$ right now though.
