MCE minimum current/underdriving

Does anyone know the minimum current to even light up a CREE MCE?

I'd like to drive a set of 'em at 175ma per die, then step it up to their 700ma max.

You can drive them however you want. The efficacy drops when you go below about 20mA per die.

you can drive them from some µA to max current. i did this with a single die cree for nightfind:
