McLux Tailcap assembly?

This may be a silly question, but is the tailcap assmbly, more specifically the piece with holes around the Kroll on a Mclux specific to the McLux?

I believe I've seen larger versions of the McLux tail around the top of portable propane tanks used for gas barbeque grills. I think most of these have less variation in the size of the holes, however.

I doubt if you'll find other flashlights with a similar feature, however.

Are you asking if the kroll guard can be fitted to another flashlight? If so, the answer is no, because it isn't a detachable piece - the tailswitch guard and battery tube are a single piece of metal.
