Very nice of them! I was curious what that was in US dollars, here it is for anyone else who might be wondering:
10 Chinese yuan = $1.43 U.S. dollars
120,000 Chinese yuan = $17,137.44 U.S. dollars

I heard that the relatively 'good' news about this earthquake is that although it was even stronger than a big one that occurred in China in the 1970s, there were only about 10% as many casualties in this one, because they've been constructing sturdier buildings since then.
