Guys, I just got 2 different lights, both have NO memory mode. They Do have 5 modes. They are less than useful. Is there a way to rework the board just to get HIGH ONLY. I an't deal with the light coming on at a different mode than expected....THANKS!!

If there coming on in different modes, then they must have memory, a board without memory would always come on in the same mode.

Hi,
maybe You can swap the driver for a different one. To help You, we need the following information:
  1. Information on the type and number of batteries used.
  2. Information on the actual brightness and the brightness and levels You would like to have.
  3. Diameter of the driver, if You can measure it. Otherwise a picture of the end of the head facing to the battery.
With this information, we might be able to point You to a driver, which fits Your needs.

Thanks for the replies....this is a DX unit, SKU 117378, runs one 18650 cell. Specs are XM-LT6, 900 lumen. I would prefer a low-hi-strobe setup, or could settle for low-med-hi. As close as I can measure, the diameter of the board is `16.5-17mm. Any help will be appreciated.....Either a board, or the drop in module.
Thank you!!

Search for 3040mA on kaidomain and You will find a driver witz 8 AMC 7135 chips. It works with one 18650. There is one picture with the configuration instructions. Configuring is rather easy, just connect some soldering pads with wires.
There is also a good driver comparison database at videofoundry.co.nz

Erzengel.....thanks. I just ordered the driver you recommended.......I took the old unit apart, looks like just 2 wires to solder, plus the bridges. The old one does not look like it has heat conductive exoxy.... where do I get that stuff or equivalent?
Is there anything else that I should be aware of..........I just replaced a clutch in a Diablo.........but haven't ever modified a flashlight....
