Just wondering if anyone knows offhand of a site that shows all of MT's models-past and present. There are so many variations that it's tough to decide on one over another.
I'm down to picking out an OTF..but not sure what MT has or had made..HALO's 1-3 CT's UDT"s? so many possibilities..but a simple pic with a description would do wonders for my decision process... anything like that out here somewhere?

Banshee, I've also been thinking about a Microtech OTF lately. After reading, I've about decided to wait on the UT-X70, if it's economically feasible.

Have you decided yet?

What's the relation of the Makora to the UT6 and to the UTx70?

TIA,
Joe

well..lacking any well defined info...I'm leaning towards a CT_III...but thats not set in stone...I could easily be swayed to another model..but I THINK the CTIII has no "manual" charging handle but rather self resets...which is the major ingredient I seek

Banshee, the CTIII is an OTF, but must be manually retracted/reset with its charging handle.

Please also be aware that it is also double-edged, and that even if auto carry is legal in your state/municipality/country/etc., this could run afoul of various laws.

Hmm...DumboRat...Is there an "auto" OTF Microtech? I know its a picky detail...but one I'm interested in.

As for the local laws....FEH... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Seriously..I think I would have to rethink the CT3..I did not know it was double-egde. I wonder what knife it was I saw then??

Do you know of an online "catalog" of Microtech's OTF's
I've been over to Microholics..but havent found one yet..
I'm sure its there..but not yet uncovered.

Thanks for the heads up Allen

Dave, I think the newer ones, like the UT-6 and the Makara (sp?) are dual-action auto.

I finally found a site with pics and decent descriptions...
The UT6 just doesnt do it ofr me in the appearance category...but the Scarab looks nice..and is a double action but pricey..and limited to 3500 units..so I best get to shopping around.

Sorry I'm late ! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep....UT6, Scarab, Makora (double-edged) are the current production DA OTFs.

PS: As for the UTx70.......

http://www.microholics.org/cgi-microholics/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=400d6afc5c72ffff;act=ST;f=8;t=1320;hl=utx70

It's a special model -- "mini UT6," if you will. I *_believe_* there was a special "collectors' run" organized on Microholics a while ago, sold through The Bright Edge, but I cannot be completely sure if that came about or not......
