I'm thinking of adding one more...:thinking: I'd be interested in a red mini with Cocobolo, but wouldn't want you to go out of your way if I was the only reason to order some Cocobolo. What are your thoughts will? I'm not dead set on it, so whatever works best for you.

I just ordered some cocobolo before I saw your note. When I get it I will put a red mini next to it - I am not real good with color coordination - I ask my daughter, she is the artist in the family.

The black and ebony would end up looking like a black maglite. The ebony I have is completly black and shows very little wood grain. I ordered something called blackwood which might look better.

This is the rosewood I have, not sure if it is Honduras, but it looks like it. This is the end of the block, it gives a good idea of finish and grain pattern. Ignore the the saw marks..

Today, August 3, is the last day to order these. I will update the information in the first post here with the choices sometime tomorrow and make it final. But - as we all know - nothing is really final. I will order the Mini-Mags at the end of the day, Action Lights is pretty good about shipping.

I have (or will have ) all the woods listed in the first post. If you want to leave that open for now - that is fine. I am mostly concerned with ordering the Mini-Mags, those I don't have. I will order some extras, but not a lot. If you can choose the color mini you want, I will order that.

I am trying to be very flexible here with the choice of woods. As it stands now, it is 12 silver, 3 gray, 1 black, 1 red. other than the red, those colors will go with most any kind of wood.

I may regret this a week from now, but i'm in for a pewter/butternut. Any idea if the glue would be able to stand up to the heat from a TL-3 incandescent bulb?

I am using 2 part epoxy, So i am pretty sure the glue will survive,

Will, any nice looking piece of rosewood would be fine with me.
The only reason why I indicated Honduras rosewood is because I have a mantelpiece clock that was hand carve out of that stuff. It's absolutely stunning!
