MiNi123 Perfect shower light!

New guy here! Did a search and found that some of you flashaholics have been known to shower with your lights… Well upon receiving my new quark mini123 with the HUGE lanyard I thought Id give it a try.

My bathroom / shower area is directly off of the master bedroom with no door between so usually taking my morning shower wakes my girlfriend. Today I just turned off the alarm, reached for my mini and put it around my neck and turned it on low to get to the bathroom then once i got in the shower I cranked it up to high and proceeded to shower as normal WITHOUT waking the girlfriend!

Its so perfectly small and with the huge lanyard its like it was meant to be naked with:naughty: . So small and light and bright and doesnt get in the way of anything!

Ok so I guess the mini123 is soap resistant too. Wouldn't ceiling bounce work better for ya?

Floor bounce off the wet shower floor was more than enough! And the lanyard around the neck makes sure i don't accidentally knock it over if its standing candle style.. I think I smiled during the whole shower…. even at 5:30 am!

not that I ever thought I understood women, but now im REALLY confused.

What happened when I bragged to her about my morning adventure proudly as I thought she would be happy that I didnt wake her up?

She said that Im even stranger than she thought and to please use the overhead regular lights like a normal person!

I think you misunderstood. When we said that we shower with our lights we meant that we ceiling bounce them outside of the shower stall so that we can see what we're doing while showering. We're not taking them inside of the shower with us (at least I don't). Closest thing to that was when I put a PakLite clone on the window sill above me in the shower instead of on the sink because the battery was running low. It wasn't getting splashed on, let alone sharing the shower with me.

I gotta admit that I did the same thing. :p

I just sat the mini on the edge of the tub surround and use the ceiling bounce on medium (which was plenty of light).

Yes, I'm certifiable. :) and I LOVE the mini.

I was thinking the same thing. Now when you sell lights and buy lights, you need to state if it's ever been showered or eaten. As that decreases the value. :ironic:

Hello,
I always shower in the dark bathroom with a flashlight. I always take different flashlight, often with colored leds. Some of the most used shower-lights seem to be:
- Maglite minimag with terralux green led (luxeon I)
- Maglite minimag with terralux red led (luxeon I)
- Peak Fujiyama SS 3 red led HP
- ARC AAA turquoise
- Led Lenser Micro Lenser (BR435)

Sometimes I want more light (depending on my mood):
- Maglite 2D Malkoff P7
- Maglite 2C Malkoff P4
- Fenix TK20
- Fenix L2D

Lights are always in the shower cabin, near the floor, or, otherwise hung on a hook at the shower wall. So the lights need to be waterproof as they get very wet.

... I guess we all shower with a flashlight, don' we?? ;) (after all ,this IS CPF and non-enthusiasts/maniacs need not apply :laughing:)
