MiniMag AA Pro - is there a "spring" piece behind the pill?

I had to punch out the pill on a MiniMag AA Pro to clean the barrel after an alkaleak.
I think I lost a piece. There is a plastic collar at the top of the pill, the metal pill has a (white) plastic piece attached on the rear (with a spring contact). But I think should be a third piece, that provides the on-off springiness ??? Sort of a rotating cam? Which I have lost.

I wonder if the inexpensive incans have that same piece so I can cannibalize one?

Bending the tab "out" would make it always-on, at least when head-down when the battery + would fall onto it...

Might also buy a tail switch... Any switches heavy enough for the Pro lumens? I doubt a NiteEyze
made for an incan would pass the current.

This is really annoying since at least the Pro+ seem to be out of production.

So I looked down the barrel of a Pro+ and the silver contact looks the same.

Now, how does the switch work? Funny that "off" is turning the head "down" towards the battery contact. I notice that the plastic bit could prevent the + contact from touching the head itself, so does turning somehow make the silver contact move towards the lens, leaving a gap between it & the + contact?

Maybe I need to correctly bend the silver contact?

The plastic collar has a notch on one end. Does that end go towards the lens or the barrel? The notch would catch in the flutes on the rear of the reflector...
