Hey Kenny, SMD kits have been on the website since Sunday; order away.
Yes, looks like some interest here but the more interest the cheaper the parts get. Some parts have price breaks at 100pcs and some at smaller or larger quantities. So I'll let this go a while more to get a better idea on interest before calculating and quoting a price.
The hardest part about this project is writting the instructions. It took me about 12 hours total by the time I finished the SMD kit instructions and had them posted and everything working. With the small soldering required on this kit, I'll need to break out the macro lens for the camera. But, I can also share some secret Lambda tricks and tips to soldering fine circuits with brutish sized equipment. While I have a nice hot air station and a super fine temperature controlled iron with a needle tip, I have built many MiniPro with a 40W weller and 1/8 inch flat spade tip. It's not that hard once you know some soldering tricks..
