I'm a newbie and have some question. Please let me have answer for the followings.

I understand that I can use one or two AA-cells for MM-Lite with Luxeon 1W". My question is that can I use 1 X 3.6V lithium AA cell or 2 X cr123 cell(6V) for "MM-Lite with Luxeon 1W" ?

Sorry for poor command of english...

I think the answer would be no to both.

The MM series are step up converters, so the battery voltage has to be lower than the output voltage, which is probably about 3.3~3.5V for a 1W Luxeon.

Basically, you need to use it with a combination of batteries whose total voltage is around 3V or less. The 3.6V lithium AA cell might work, but it would depend on whether the Luxeon is one which happens to use a high voltage.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, Tanya. That's very useful indeed!
I just got my MM+ with Lux3 and it's very bright! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
