So, Christmas is nearing and insted of trying to guess what everyone wants i am just going to get them all flashlights. I mean, come on, who dosn't like flashlites.

There are two that I am trying to decide on,
The first one is the UniqueFire HS-802
Dose anyone have any experience with this light and can anyone tell me what kind of battery life i can expect.

The second is the UltraFire C3 Cree This is a nice litte cheep lite that i will probably send to my nephew because he will probably loose it in a week or two. Being that it cost about $15.00 i wont be too upset at him.
Again i would like to know what kind of battery life and what kind of output i can expect from these lights.

I found these at (moderator man please dont delete my post because of this) www.dealextreme.com/
I was not able to find a home page for these two manufacturers, if someone knows that info it would most likely be helpful as well

Thanks

The search feature is a wonderful thing...

Please accept my apologies since I am not directly answering your question. I too am giving a few flashlights for Christmas, and I have settled upon these two very small models (keychain and penlight sized, respectively) from Streamlight. My primary goals were:
  • Very respectable output (20-24 lumens) for general use
  • Small size: I imagine that non-flashaholics do not want to carry even a moderately sized flashlight around all the time. A handy flashlight = a flashlight carried = a flashlight used.
  • Common batteries: AAA and 2xAAA.
  • Also, low cost (~$15-$20 from lighthound) but good quality & design (from what I've read). Both of these have gotten very good reviews and positive feedback on CPF.

Happy Holidays,
(I guess someone has to say it first :sigh:)

I for one wouldn't give any DX light as a gift. If it breaks, fails or arrives DOA the RMA procedure combined with hit or miss customer service will leave your friends in the dark. I am very happy with my DX purchases (knock on wood), but I don't have much faith in giving them as gifts.

that HS-802 is $40. IMHO you are better off getting a comparably priced light from a CPF marketplace vendor who will back up what they sell.

You can edit your post to remove the URL, and just replace it with "DX", and mods won't kill it (I don't think).

Just my .02$
